Fantastic grant award from the National Lottery Community Fund
We are thrilled to be awarded a substantial grant for our project: ‘Living an Active and Healthy Life with MS’.
A big thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund
The grant of £420,000, over five years, has been awarded by the National Lottery Community Fund
National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes, and this Fund, one of UK’s largest funding bodies, is known for its commitment to supporting impactful initiatives.
The money will go towards providing:
Neuro-physiotherapy
Hydrotherapy
Gym sessions
More activities like Pilates and Tai Chi
All these therapies help to enable users to gain greater control over their symptoms, resulting in healthy, active, and independent lives.
Whilst this is a significant award, we need to secure the remaining 80% of funding to sustain our services; this award has inspired us to intensify efforts to raise the funding extra we need.
This grant is spread over 5 years with an average around £80,000 every year, which is absolutely brilliant for our charity.
In total need around £400,000 every year to run all the therapies for our members, to keep the Centre running and pay all our bills.
That works out to over £33,300 per month, which is over £1000 a day to run our centre here in Barkers Lane in Bedford
So when you come to one of our events every penny you spend supporting our charity really does count.
Thank you very much for supporting us.
