Call for entries - Pop-Up Art Exhibition & Sale 2022

Our exciting Pop-Up Art Exhibition & Sale returns again for a wonderful weekend on 30th September - 2nd October at the MS Therapy Centre. We are looking forward to seeing your artworks.

Information for artists

Thank you for joining our second annual Pop-Up Art event  commencing with a reception preview for invited guests on the evening of Friday 30th September. We have 80 artists showing their works.

The exhibition opening hours are Saturday 1st October 10am to 5pm & Sunday 2nd October 10.30am to 4pm. We ask artists to spend as much time as they can at the event and be available to steward for at least one session during the exhibition. We know that visitors are far more likely to purchase if they can meet the artist.

In addition to the information below, please visit our page with terms and conditions. This page contains important information about your artwork submissions and commission.

Submission of artwork

We suggest 2 - 4 pieces of hung (framed or strung for hanging) original artwork are submitted, but we will have space for unframed (unhung) pieces and browsers.   Very large pieces are counted as two. Artwork is delivered to the MS Therapy Centre on Monday 26th Sept and Tuesday 27th September between 10am and 4pm. Hung artworks must be labelled and adequately framed or strung for hanging.

Up to 10 unhung works, suitably protected and labelled may also be submitted, and you are encouraged to provide up to 50 greetings cards. All cards should be sold at the same price and be labelled with the price and the artist’s name.

Sculpture, pottery and jewellery submissions are discussed individually with the artist. Set up for this group of artists is from midday to 3pm on Friday 30th September. It is important that these artists attend throughout the exhibition to look after their work and maximise sales.

We charge £15 for up to 4 hung artworks to cover our admin costs.

Commission on sales

All sales are handled by the event committee and artists are remunerated on sales after the event. We take a 33% commission as a donation to the charity. If artists feel they can donate a piece of work or offer a higher percentage commission, we would be very grateful.

Before and after the show

All artwork is hung by the organising committee but we welcome any help with this task

All artwork will need to be collected by the artist on the evening of Sunday 2nd October between 4.30pm & 6pm. The Centre has very little storage space.

Show catalogue

We will produce a catalogue of works sponsored by local businesses.

We would love you to provide some background information about you and your art that will be included on our artists' webpage.
