High-tech equipment to analyse gait

Thank you to the University of Bedfordshire team who brought some of their amazing equipment into the Centre. This walkway enables them to measure the quality of walking, and provide information that can help to develop interventions to drive improvements.

The tracks on the floor are using infrared light to measure every step with amazing accuracy. After a trip down the runway, the system can produce data and charts that can immediately be shared with participants on the TV monitor in the room.

The Centre is planning a series of workshops working with them so watch this space if you would like to get involved.
