Wednesday mornings: Seated Pilates
New seated Pilates class on Wednesdays 10.30am
Due to popular demand, we are now running group Pilates sessions on Wednesdays as well as Thursdays.
Pilates is a form of exercise that focusses on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. There are Pilates exercises that help work different areas of the body that can be tailored to meet an individual's capabilities and their personal goals. Regular exercise has been shown to help people with MS maintain capability and support recovery. Pilates is just one of the exercise options available at the Centre.
Annette said that “The sessions are fun and it’s nice to have a chat” with the added benefit that “The exercise helps, it is very similar to what I have been shown by the physio".
Margaret said “The problem I have is remembering the exercises so that I can do them at home so it's great to come to the sessions”.
